Symphology: The Science of Sound
750 B Street, San Diego, 92101
Cost: $20 - $35
The San Diego Symphony Orchestra is performing a series of four Family Festival concerts designed to introduce children 5-12 to the magic, science, and wonder of classical music. This edition features Symphology: The Science of Sound. From the sound a bow makes to the beating of a drum, there are countless ways musicians make music. But how does it happen? Conductor Sameer Patel explains what makes a flute tweet and a horn toot and how it all comes together through the sounds and science of a symphony. Children are free with adult tickets.
