Jack Innis, author of San Diego Legends, unveils a new edition of his book with stories of colorful characters, strange happenings, high crimes (like the 1852 murder of San Diego’s mayor), and a little-known tale from 1769 when San Diego almost became a Russian city. If that fate had prevailed, craft beer and fish tacos would be vodka and borscht.
