Chef Spurgin, a longtime ocean advocate, will provide a history of sea farming, address its current state, and detail plans for its future.
Andrew Spurgin is the recipient of the Dr. Roger Revelle Award for his work with oceans, has served on the Director's Cabinet of Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and is an E.W. Scripps Associate. He assisted in developing the Blue Ocean Institute's Green Chefs Blue Oceans program, a national curriculum addressing sustainable seafood education for culinary students and working chefs.
