Songs: Old and New explores the concept of song and spoken word from the Renaissance to the present day. Bridging four centuries, the program includes songs from Elizabethan England, an original arrangement of an Italian madrigal by Carlo Gesualdo, the world premiere of Christopher Adler's Aeneas in the Underworld, Act II: The Underworld, and duets by Paulo Bellinati, Arnold Schoenberg, Franco Donatoni, Mario Lavista, and Steve Reich.
