1pm: “Drones and Targeted Killing” with professor Marjorie Cohn, Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
This lecture will examine different aspects of the U.S. policy or targeted killing with drones and other methods. It will explore the legality, morality, and geopolitical considerations of targeted killing and resulting civilian casualties.
2:30pm: “Gemstones of San Diego County” with Gene Ciancanelli, geologist.
We will learn about local gemstone mining history opportunities to learn how to collect and cut gemstones for jewelry from a geologist and lecturer for the Palomar Gem and Mineral Society.
