The Patrice Lumumba Committee of San Diego Writers Ink announces a free poetry/theater arts performance by students from local high schools with writing, reading, and performance skills the students learned from SDWI teaching artist Jim Moreno and theater/acting coach Rhys Greene, director of the Black Ensemble Theater. The students have met with the teachers at the 2nd Annual Jihmye Collins Poetry Summer Camp for two weeks. Local musician/writer/ producer Kent Brisby will be filming the event for a documentary. The event will be recorded for a podcast on KNSJ, 89.1 FM.
