La Jolla Playhouse DNA New Work Series: Kiss
9500 Gilman Drive, San Diego, 92093
Cost: Free
As part of its series of staged readings of new plays, the La Jolla Playhouse presents Guillermo Calderon's drama that "breaks open cultural barriers as a group of Western actors interpreting a Syrian play slowly realize the limits of their own understanding, and the suffocating effect of an oppressive, omnipresent regime." Jamie Castaneda directs. The reading takes place at the Seuss I Rehearsal Space at UCSD.
