Suds & Science: The Life and Death of Bees
2215 Pan American Road, San Diego, 92101
Cost: $10
Bees are among the prime pollinators of plants in the U.S. and play a vital role in our ecosystem. A reduction in the bee population can have a drastic effect on crops and wild flowers.
How does a bee hive function? How do bees communicate? Perhaps most importantly, what is colony collapse disorder and what can be done about it? Join bee keeper Mari Jarvis and Dr. Heather Bell from UCSD as they discuss the life and death of bees and what we can do to support a healthy bee population. Ticket includes two beers from Mother Earth Brewing Company.
