Sta. Rita Hills Winegrowers Alliance
This two-day event includes a winemaker dinner, educational seminar, and Grand Tasting featuring barbecue bites and tastings from 25 Sta. Rita Hills wineries. Throughout the weekend guests can meet and learn from winemakers and vineyard owners and experience the wines that are quickly becoming some of the most exciting and sought after in California.
Located just north of Santa Barbara, the Sta. Rita Hills are considered one of the top producing cool climate wine regions in the world and are best known for their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines. On April 12 Sta. Rita Hill’s winemakers discuss the history of the region and its wine production in an educational tasting and seminar. Additionally, winemaker and vineyard manager of Clos Pepe Vineyards Wes Hagen will lead a discussion of the history of wine, beer, and spirits. The seminar concludes with a selection of tasting flights showcasing “Pink and Bubbles in the Hills,” “Chardonnay Comparison,” and “Red Wines from the Sta. Rita Hills.”
