Camarada MIXX Concert Series
Join Camarada for the debut performance of MIXX, a blend of local artistry which offers a new collaboration with Water’s Fine Catering. This series will combine music, location and a community style pop-up dinner. Latin music is the theme for the first season of MIXX; classical, tango & jazz. A Little Fandango kicks-off the three-concert series with a blend of classical Spanish composers including Joaquin Rodrigo, Ernesto Lecuona and Joaquin Turina, spiced with an early fandango written by Italian composer Luigi Boccherini and finished off with the famed Bolero by Maurice Ravel. As a result of the extravagant features of the fandango dance, the word fandango is often used as another word for “a big fuss.” Come and see what the big fuss is all about! Classical Latin music by Boccherini, Rodrigo, Zimbalist, Lecuona, Turina, and Ravel will be featured for flute, string trio, piano, and dance. Performers include Beth Ross Buckley (flute), David Buckley (violin), Travis Maril (viola), Erin Breene (cello), Dana Burnett (piano), and Gloria Lanuza (flamenco dance).
