Tom is a beloved individual who has contributed in many ways to the city of San Diego. He grew up in the Stingaree and later became a San Diego City Councilman and a California Assemblyman. He developed a real estate business into one of the major businesses in San Diego and was behind such developments as the Gaslamp Quarter District, Petco Park, Qualcomm Stadium, and numerous housing projects.
The book tells his story of courage and endurance in meeting life’s challenges to achieve “The American Dream.” His memoir is a history of San Diego.
