Act of Valor
A special screening of Act of Valor, the 2012 movie starring active duty Navy SEALs. The screening will take place at Coronado’s beautifully restored Village Theatre. A pre-screening VIP reception will be held at the Coronado Historical Association’s Museum of History and Art, 1100 Orange Avenue, where the exhibit, “The History of the Navy SEALs in Coronado” will be on display in the gallery.
The CHA exhibit is part of a greater, ten-museum exhibit sponsored by Balboa Park’s History Center, which focuses on the military’s influence on this region. Guests will enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres hosted by Tent City Restaurant.
Prior to the screening, CIFF will present the short documentary film U.S. Navy SEALs 50th Anniversary, written, directed, and narrated by Coronado High School student Kyler Smith, whose father and brother are Navy SEALs. A Q&A with film insiders will follow the screening.
