Travel Writing Across the World
2730 Historic Decatur Road, Barracks 16 #202, San Diego, 92106
Cost: $60 - $72
A class that looks at the travel industry as a continuously changing entity with a range of interesting facets, while exploring the various opportunities available to writers. Once these areas are identified and discussed, we’ll look at ways of optimizing writing technique, style, and voice to publish blogs, articles, essays, novels, and works of non-fiction.
We’ll be walking through the process of becoming a travel writer, from the opening stages where you’ll work for peanuts to being able to charge a premium for words and publishing books.
Clayton Truscott is a South African travel, surf, and fiction writer. He was the senior writer and editor at Essential Travel Magazine from 2009 to 2012.
