A rare opportunity to take the controls of a powerful diesel railroad locomotive and power it down the track, using air-brake, throttle, and horn at the 40-acre Pacific Southwest Railway Museum.
This activity is normally reserved for licensed locomotive engineers only. Participants are awarded a commemorative certificate. Opportunities to share running time with family and friends. Online reservations are required, first-come, first-served.
The museum's historic "Golden State" vintage passenger trains will also make a 12-mile, 1-hour scenic journey to Tunnel #4 and return (reservations not required). Gift store, free parking, wheelchair friendly.
