Viva Vivaldi Baroque Fest
Camarada’s Viva Vivaldi weaves together a selection of Antonio Vivaldi Concertos, music of two of J.S Bach’s sons and Chaconne for viola by Tomaso Antonio Vitali. Vivaldi’s La Notte (The Nightmare) takes the listener off-the-beaten Baroque path while his Chamber Concerto in D Major showcases virtuosic passages of the well-loved violin solos – a true trademark of Vivaldi. In honor of Camarada’s 20th year anniversary, harpsichordist and founding member Mary Barranger will return to the stage to join pianist and Artistic Director Dana Burnett in a performance of C.P.E Bach’s Double Concerto. Music by CPE Bach, WF Bach, Tomaso Vitali, and Vivaldi will be performed by Beth Ross Buckley (flute), Sarah Skuster (oboe), Ryan Simmons (bassoon), David Buckley (violin), Robert Schumitzky (violin), Travis Maril (viola), Erin Breene (cello), Jory Herman (double bass), Dana Burnett (piano), and Mary Barranger (harpsichord).
