Human-Elephant Conflict in Africa
African elephants are placed in the paradoxical position of being a vulnerable species that needs to be conserved and simultaneously a pest due to human–elephant conflict. Dr. Noa Pinter-Wollman will discuss potential solutions to the situation, with an emphasis on translocation and it’s impact on elephant behavior.
Following the lecture, catch a special screening of the IMAX film Africa: The Serengeti, where you’ll journey across the Serengeti plains with more than 1.5 million animals, including wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, elephants, and monkeys.
