Shelden Zhang, professor of sociology at San Diego State University, led a study that produced the first scientifically grounded measure of human trafficking in the nation. Zhang, along with Lars Almquist, a member of the interview team who is now pursuing a three-year study of gang involvement in sex trafficking will discuss the sex and labor trafficking problem in the San Diego/Tijuana area.
