Opera Fresca, a troupe of opera students from Point Loma Nazarene University, steps into the spotlight at Operacaffe. The talented ensemble of Point Loma Opera Theatre (PLOT) members will delight dining patrons with unique renditions of opera classics, their perspective defined by a youthful passion for one of the world's most enduring and inspiring art forms.
Vocal performances, beginning at 6:30 PM, will continue at half-hour intervals throughout the evening, without added expense to restaurant guests.
Opera Fresca is an affirmation of Point Loma Opera Theatre's mission: bringing opera's universal themes of love, conflict, tragedy, and redemption to an ever-widening audience through live performances in a variety of community settings.
Opera Fresca is a featured act of Operacaffe's La Vita Bella (The Beautiful Life) performance series. The vocal ensemble will take center stage at Operacaffe on the last Sunday of each month (the ensemble takes a summer hiatus June through August), giving Opera Fresca an exceptional opportunity to share its extensive and evolving opera repertoire with restaurant patrons.
