Haydn in Plain Sight
1549 El Prado, San Diego, 92101
Cost: Free
“Haydn in Plain Sight” is a free choral event that gives listeners of all ages a chance to experience choral music in a way they’ve never heard (or seen) before. Beginning at multiple locations in Balboa Park along El Prado, visitors will hear madrigal singers as they spontaneously appear, find themselves carried away in a sing-along and being ushered into the Natural History Museum to enjoy a multi-level, multi-sensory choral experience.
“Haydn in Plain Sight” is a dryly-witty construction by composer Rick Burkhardt, commissioned by the La Jolla Symphony & Chorus, and loosely based on Franz Josef Haydn’s “The Seasons.”
