PeopleConnect, Truthfinder's Parent Company, Named Among San Diego's Best Workplaces for 10th Consecutive Year

PeopleConnect joins the ranks of other medium-sized notables in San Diego Business Journal’s distinguished list.

For the 10th consecutive year, PeopleConnect® landed on San Diego Business Journal’s Best Places To Work list. The 2024 list comprises premier employers spanning the tech, pharmaceutical, finance, and other sectors in the San Diego area.

PeopleConnect, the parent company of TruthFinder®, also received recognition from the San Diego Union-Tribune's Top Workplaces list for 2024.

We got voted a 2024 Top Place to Work in San Diego!” PeopleConnect’s LinkedIn stated. “Want to come work with us? We’re always looking for incredible talent.”

The Best Places to Work list is an annual award organized by the San Diego Business Journal in partnership with Workforce Research Group that recognizes employers in San Diego County who have created excellent workplace environments.

Companies qualify for consideration if they:

— Are for-profit, nonprofit, or government organizations.

— Have a physical operation in San Diego County.

— Employ at least 15 full-time or part-time employees in San Diego County.

— Have been in business for at least one year at the program registration deadline.

The evaluation process involves a two-part assessment with an employer portion that captures details about company policies and practices, and an employee feedback survey that collects employees' opinions about their workplace experience.

After the surveys are complete, the employer and employee data sets are combined to determine which workplaces make the list. Companies that make the list are recognized in a special publication and at an event produced by the San Diego Business Journal.

The San Diego region also celebrates outstanding employers through San Diego Union-Tribune’s annual list of workplace winners.

The Tribune’s list takes into account a company’s employee satisfaction, company culture, leadership, and work-life balance.

Inside PeopleConnect's Winning Workplace

PeopleConnect has maintained its position among San Diego's Best Places to Work by building a reputation for excellence through both its innovative technology platforms and purpose-driven collaborative culture.

The company attributes its impressive employee retention and consistent product innovation to a workplace culture centered around trust and empowerment. Beyond offering competitive benefits and flexible remote work policies, PeopleConnect cultivates community connection through various local volunteer initiatives. Employees regularly participate in company-supported outreach programs, including food drives, youth mentoring opportunities, and projects supporting underserved families throughout the San Diego and Seattle areas.

"By volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, TreeHouse, Hugs and Bags, and The Salvation Army, PeopleConnect’s teams have made a significant impact on our local communities,” reads a recent PeopleConnect blog. “Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our volunteers, we've been able to make a difference in the lives of many people. When our teams give back, we're not just helping others — we’re investing in our communities’ futures.”

From Search Tools to Digital Safety: The PeopleConnect Platform

The PeopleConnect family of brands all have a central focus on digital safety.

PeopleConnect's comprehensive product suite encompasses people search capabilities, background data services, and identity protection solutions — all powered by the company's proprietary data resolution technology. Its flagship platforms, including TruthFinder and Instant Checkmate, provide users with access to public information that traditional search engines typically don't surface. In recent years, the company has expanded its security offerings with the launch of OmniWatch, designed specifically to help combat the growing threat of identity theft.

"Our customers are really looking for data that's as real-time as possible, especially when it comes to being informed," said Steven Gray, CEO of PeopleConnect. "We leverage our own proprietary entity resolution engine to quickly and affordably provide information on, really, any adult in the United States."

Gray emphasized that public records data, when properly sourced and responsibly utilized, serves a valuable role in helping people reconnect with others or protect themselves online. Whether users are searching for lost relatives or receiving timely alerts about potential data breaches, PeopleConnect's tools are engineered to help individuals navigate digital risks with enhanced awareness.

“We like having multiple data components from disparate sources [because] if they're layered on top of each other and they’re the same, we know it’s more determinative.”

"We provide users with the full picture, explain what everything means for their security, and what steps they should take to stay safe," Gray added.
