Timepiece was an early 1980s R&B and funk group featuring guitarist Wayne Riker and guitarist/bassist Ninnie Brown, extant from 1982 through 1984. Brown went on to play guitar with local blues singer Shelle for many years, until he passed away in early 2015.

"His bass lines were a joy to interact with on guitar," says Riker. "On ballads, he was a symphony, and his counterpoint lines on uptempo tunes was stellar on his beloved Gibson bass guitar."
