“The Mississippi Sheik," Mississippi Delta bluesman Sam Chatmon made his first records in the 20s with brothers Bo Carter and Lonnie Chatmon. He played and sings a wide range of Delta blues and risque double entendre songs.
In the mid-1970s, Chatmon - also in his mid-70s - was living and playing in San Diego around six months each year.
