Background:

Singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist (piano, guitar, bass, drums) Mike Stockalper is a music teacher at Sunset Music Studio in downtown Encinitas. He has played keyboards in Montalban Quintet and guitar in Mango Melody, and formerly played in Village Squares, Alaina Blair Band, Tony & the Funky Chonies, and with DJ Shammy Dee.

His solo album Light & Dark was released in 2019. "Creating this album has been an incredibly cathartic experience," he told the Reader, "since I've been in the music business since about 2004 and it's taken 15 years to do a solo project. I'm very proud of the production, songwriting, and overall effort for a first release and hoping to make more music in the coming years."
