Jessie Lark has been performing since age 8, including around San Diego at local malls and private venues. As of Autumn 2009, while still known as Jessica Lerner, she had sung the Star Spangled Banner ten times for the San Diego Padres and Chargers and had fronted the Rockin Jazz Big Band.
Accomplished on piano and guitar, she was 19 when released her self-titled debut six-track CD in September 2009. The 2012 release of her thirteen-song self-titled debut album was followed by her Christmas single, "From This Christmas and On."
She released After (h)Ours in Autumn 2018. "After (h)Ours is a play on words," she said at the time. "We had to record late at night because our studio is not soundproof - after hours - and other part of it highlights that all of the songs tell stories about what happens in different phases of relationships - after ours."
In 2020, she took on the stage name Jessie Lark. A proudly bisexual artist, she writes songs rooted in romance, resilience, and self-love. She won Best Pop Song at the 2025 San Diego Music Awards and took home the top prize at the Belly Up's 2026 Battle of the Bands. She has opened for Alexandra Kay and Avery Anna at the House of Blues, and she also co-chairs Songwriter Sisters Social, a community group that uplifts women in music.
