Singer/songwriter/guitarist Corey Leal -- is a blues and folk musician who plays a blend of American roots with themes of love, loss, travel, and mysticism, through a dark complexion of foot stomping storytelling. He paired with pedal steel player and keyboardist Dillon Casey (New Archaic, Second Cousins) to form Jefferson Washington.

"Jefferson Washington was my first attempt at writing songs and sharing them with people other than my roommates," Leal told the Reader. "It lasted about four years."

Leal and Dillon later recruited more players and changed their name to Wish & the Well, with a debut album released in early 2017 that featured several songs originally created as Jefferson Washington.
