Background:

Originally formed in the late 1970s, the Hurricanes merges talents from Muncie Florida and San Diego, in order to play blues peppered with a little R&B and reggae. Blues harpist Aristotle Georgio has played with B.B. King, Bo Diddley, the Allman Brothers, Gov't Mule, Jimmy Thackery, and Robert Cray, as well as locals Earl Thomas, Robin Henkel, and Chet Cannon, as well as recording vocals for numerous commercials. Member continue to occasionally reunite to this day.

They reunited August 5, 2018 at Tio Leo's, to debut their album Vintage, collecting tracks recorded at City College studio in 1983, along with three bonus tracks recorded in Cincinnati in 1987. The event was also intended to pay tribute to the late Aristotle Georgio, who passed away August 1, 2017, from injuries suffered during a July assault that took place in the Gaslamp District. Guest players for the reunion show included Sue Palmer (keys) and Jonny Viau (sax).
