Background:
Formed in the mid-1990s around a hip-hop sound that also punks up 1970s funk, Fat Beat Squad has included members such as Jeff Dresser (Bad Neighborz), Jeff Williamson (AEPNIA, Bloodflowers), Saul Ashley (Siren's Crush), Tom Dresser, Chris Nolf, Davis Williams, and Jason Dalton.
The band has played around town for years, as well as embarking on road trips like the 1998 Vans Warped Tour. Their sophomore album Delicious, released in December 2000, was nominated Best Punk Album at the 2001 San Diego Music Awards.
