DJ Red Sonya has been spinning since 2001. Through 2006, she was an active member of the Vinyl Elements Crew, who organized Reaction, which ran for five years at the Honey Bee Hive. In 2007, she began leading Lady Lush, a production company featuring DJs and art direction from Andre Couturier Maitret.

She has held several weekly and monthly residencies, and also produces many of her own events. Although deep house was her first vinyl fetish, her music collection quickly grew to include down tempo, trip hop, funk, soul, tech house, techno, and drum & bass.

In 2009, Red Sonya made the move to Los Angeles, returning in 2014.
