Bassoonist Dan Weiss performs with chamber groups, symphonies, small ensembles, pit orchestras, and bands in the Southern California region, with an extensive history of bassoon performance over the past twenty years. In middle and high school, he studied under Don Wilkinson, and was an accomplished student musician in Texas State-Level Competitions. Weiss sat principal bassoon in the El Paso All-Region Symphony Orchestra for four years and attended California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, serving as principal bassoon of the University Symphony and the wind quintet.
