The Cheap Leis play Hawaii-themed punk music, wearing colorful clothes to match. Founded in 1997, the group is fronted by ukulele player O, also known as Otisserie B (real name Otis Barthoulameu), who also plays with Reeve Oliver. His other bands have included fluf and Olivelawn, and some reports claim he was once a roadie for the Misfits. Lap-steel player Adrian Demain is a former pro skateboarder. Bassist Jim Austin (Bartenders Bible) and guitarist Jonny Maccree also play with Smith’s Ranch Boys.
