Bruin is an electronic duo featuring Dominic Fawcett, with trippy surfed out beats by Nick McClure, aka Adept. Early tunes were recorded and mixed by Keith Milgaten (aka Jamuel Saxon and Keith Sweaty), and a remix album called Thug Wave was released.
In April 2014, the band released their D'nealian full-length, recorded and mixed by Keith Milgaten at the Habitat House. "The name D'nealian came up in a conversation about ancient relics from school days," says Fawcett. "We didn't have an album title and, since it's a really ambiguous irrelevant term, naturally we went with it."
The album was a combination digital and USB release. "We'll also be selling a limited number of cassette tapes," according to Fawcett. "However, since cassette tapes are outdated, pretentious, and generally shit, we're using them as jump drives. The cassette drives will have the album, the music video, and a bunch of extras."
Their first show after a hiatus caused when their drummer injured his leg in a freak basketball accident took place November 28, 2018, at Seven Grand.
