Formerly known as Heinous, Aghori is a thrash metal band founded in 2000 by singer Dustin Keimig and drummer Seth Roscamp, while both were still in high school. They were later joined by Mike Alarid (Everybody Panic).
“It’s basically about not being afraid to be an outsider,” says Keimig. “It’s about refusing to follow life’s prescriptions.”
In 2011, the band won the Project Independent North American Ballot, to become the 2011 Project Independent North American Featured Artists Of The Year.
Bassist Mike Alarid left the band in 2017 and co-founded Aether X, alongside Jeff Smith (drummer for Dazed and Confused) and singer-guitarist James Brady (formerly of New Day Mile).
