Saturday, November 8 Beer Week Events
Bikes, Brews & Brats: Meet up with the crew from Green Flash Brewing Company at Cal Coast Cycles, don a commemorative bike jersey then embark on a scenic off-road ride ending at Regal Beagle where numerous Green Flash beers will be offered along with artisanal brats and the chance to win a variety of raffle prizes. | *Cal Coast
Cycles, 3020 Adams Avenue, University Heights, 10 a.m.*
Grand Opening: Solana Beach’s Culture Brewing Company picked Beer Week to open its southerly satellite tasting room on Newport Avenue in Ocean Beach. Expect to find many of the small but spunky brewery’s specialty ales pouring from the 18 taps. (The same will be true of the offerings at Culture’s Solana Beach tasting room during Beer Week.) | Culture Brewing Company Tasting Room, 4845 Newport Avenue, Ocean Beach, 12 p.m.
Guild Fest: Day Two of the San Diego Brewers Guild’s biggest annual event takes it back to its roots while moving it forward. In addition to a beer festival spotlighting every member of the Guild, the day now features a series of “Beer College” seminars covering topics like Building Blocks of Beer, and Craft Beer and Artisanal Doughnuts (insert Homer Simpson drooling). | Port Pavillion at Broadway Pier, 1000 North Harbor Drive, Downtown, 2 p.m.
