Display Advertising

Display ads are accepted until 5pm Monday for the Thursday issue. During holiday weeks, the deadline is advanced one business day, to 5pm Friday. Early-placement and multiple insertion discounts are available.

Display advertising may be placed by phone or in person. Sales representatives are available from 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday, to explain rates and discounts.

To place an ad in person, visit our office located at 1703 India Street (at Date) in downtown San Diego. Metered parking is available. Office hours are 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday.

Online Advertising

The Reader offers Medium Rectangles (300x250) and Leaderboards (728x90) on this website.

Affordable packages are available to our contract advertisers as a means to complement their print campaigns, but online advertising may also be purchased as a standalone buy.

All online advertising includes a link to advertisers' websites. Online advertising may appear run of site, or on targeted groups of pages.

Classified Advertising

Classified ads appear in the print publication each Thursday and are updated on the Web daily. The final deadline for placing an ad for the print publication is 5pm Tuesday for the Thursday issue.

Reader Jobs Advertising

Published on alternating weeks, Reader Jobs (readerjobs.com) is a help-wanted publication separate from the San Diego Reader. Affordable classified and display advertising packages are available for both print and online.
