Wanted: Café On This Spot!
If I had a spare quarter-mil, this is where I’d put my café, bistro, terrazza, whatever.
The nicely-rounded corner is crying out for tables, umbrellas, waiters dashing around with their li’l round trays held high.
It’s the new Strata condo building on the corner of Tenth and Market.
It still has this sidewalk-level space for lease, and nobody’s picking up on it.
Unlike most new buildings, the owners didn’t get greedy and build out to the max and make pedestrians feel like sidewalk refugees.
This set back, rounded corner makes you feel welcome, and hey, want to sit down and watch the woild go by for a while, with a nice brewski or glass of wine or cup of coffee and a stuffed croissant.
And one of those tall heaters.
I tell you, all I need is a quarter mil.
