Roger Reynolds: Passage 9
Passage 9 is UC San Diego composer Roger Reynolds' multimedia work combining live performance, video, spoken word, and sound spatialization. Reynolds himself will read texts, joined by computer musician Paul Hembree, percussionist Steven Schick, and flutist Rachel Beetz. Reynolds' subtitle for the work is "On Collaborative Alliances, John Cage, John Ashbery, Barnett Newman and the Sublime, Toru Takemitsu, the Source of Aesthetic Impact, Intermedia, and Obligation."
