On the Waterfront
I'm sitting at the Manchester Grand on the 2nd floor waiting for my IABC conference session to start. Another hour to go. I know, it's Sunday and the sun is out. What am I doing here?
I'm looking forward to the conference and the speakers actually- and since there is apparently free wi-fi in the hotel, that's even cooler. I cruised down the coast this morning, stopping at the bank, and zipping through Quick Fix in Encinitas for my morning nf latte and a sunshine muffin. Costco Moreno was the next stop since I was almost out of gas and I knew I wouldn't want to do it this evening on the way home.
I cruised around for a few minutes, even went to that park behind Seaport Village to see if I could find a cheap parking spot, nada, then headed back up Kettner and found a free Sunday street parking spot in the pay & display area a half block away by the trolley tracks- yeah! I didn't quite believe it so I took a photo of the display - just in case. I really should go outside and get a sandwich or something- a latte and a muffin isn't going to hold me until 6 tonite, and I'm boring myself right now, so I'm sure I've lost you.
There's a tiny bit of a breeze, and I love the sound of the lines hitting the masts, so maybe I'll go outside and explore, and look for a quick protein fix. Later.
