My favorite slang word comes from a Leslie Hall skit. She calls a place the Hobby Lobby. My friends and I took the term “hobby lobby” and started using it to mean something that is really cool. The trick is you have to say it with a ton of energy. It’s, like, if your friend calls you and says that they just got tickets to a show you would have to scream back “HOBBY LOBBY!” with tons of enthusiasm. We say it if we’re really excited about something, something’s just good.
