Children's West African Drumming Classes
Master of drums, Nana Yaw Asiedu has been teaching West African drumming to toddlers and children at the WorldBeat Center for over fourteen years. Asiedu, who has played with Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones, and Taj Mahal, brings the rhythms of Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Guinee, Ivory Coast, Mali, India, Cuba, & Brazil to his classes.
Toddler's classes will run 2-2:30pm, children six months to six years old will be taught from 3-3:30pm, and classes for older children (seven-up) and adults will be held 3-4:15pm.
