30 Years of Ugly Things is a three day celebration of local Ugly Things Magazine, featuring many of the 1960 bands celebrated in its pages. Runaways mastermind (and former San Diegan) Kim Fowley will host Love (with Ebbot Lundberg of Soundtrack of Our Lives singing in place of the late Arthur Lee), Kinda Kinky, Benedict Arnold and the Traitors, the Neumans, the Sloths, Rising Ramrods, Ty Wagner, and the Rosalyns.
Glenn Campbell (of the Misunderstood) will also perform with the locals the Loons, a band fronted by Ugly Things Magazine publisher Mike Stax. The event includes screenings of several documentary films about bands such as the Seeds and Pretty Things.
