Dr. Paul Dwyer will perform a Baroque cello recital, featuring German and French Baroque selections juxtaposed with contemporary compositions specifically for the sound of the Baroque cello.
Dwyer earned his Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of Michigan, and is soon to complete the Historical Performance program at The Juilliard School. A graduate of Oberlin Conservatory and a Fulbright Fellow, he is also the recipient of the Javits Fellowship and the Presser Award. He has performed with Jordi Savall, Ton Koopman, Monica Huggett, William Christie, Menahem Pressler, principal players of Apollo’s Fire, and artist-faculty of the Aspen Music Festival.
