Lil' Wayne and Same Ol' Two Step is a high-energy band from Louisiana which blends old and new style Zydeco. Leader of the band Wayne Singleton has been involved with zydeco music since age seven, cutting his teeth with acts like Beau Jacques, Keith Frank, and Zydeco Force. Although some artists are pushing zydeco to its progressive left, Lil' Wayne and Same Ol' Two Step keeps it firmly based in the Lawtell/Opelousas, Louisiana, style where it originally sprouted.
