Musical PATH to Recovery
The musical portion of this event at Liberty Station Barracks will feature performances by local musicians Joe Marillo, Charlie Imes, Khara Rice, Krista King, Vanessa Contopulos, and the Southwestern Community College Concert Choir, under the direction of Professor Terry Russell, performing selections from “Misa Azteca” by Joseph Julian Gonzales, and other favorite musical selections.
There will also be a silent art auction, and a related seminar happens the same day at Barracks 17 from 3:30pm until 5:30pm.
A New PATH is a non-profit organization that works to reduce the stigma of drug addiction, increase access to substance abuse treatment opportunities, and end discrimination against individuals who suffer from addictive illness. PATH has received many awards and proclamations from various legislators, including SD Mayor Bob Filner, Congresswoman Susan Davis, and the San Diego Board of Supervisors. PATH Co-Founders received the 10 News Leadership Award in 2000.
