Too late to run a 5K at UCSD
The Triton 5K to benefit scholarship funds is sold out.
The UCSD Triton 5K is sold out for Saturday, June 8th. The 5K supports scholarships for students and has raised more than $3 million since it started in 1996.
The general public is welcome to come check out the festival and to make good will donations online. The festival looks pretty cool with an array of jumpies, jousting(!), local merchants, and local cuisine.
The festival runs from 9:00 am to noon.
The website breaks down how many of the runners are students, UCSD community, general community, etc. I haven’t seen a break down like that and thought it was pretty cool. The site also shows which teams have raised the most money so far.
