Gerhard, who began his culinary career in San Diego, was named one of the country's top ten pastry chefs by both Chocolatier and Pastry Art and Design magazines in 2002 and 2004.
He worked as the assistant to Jacquy Pfeiffer, founder of the French Pastry School in Chicago. Stints as Pastry Chef with Charlie Trotters Restaurant in Chicago, the Waldorf Astoria, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Corporate Pastry Chef for Dean and DeLuca and Executive Pastry Chef of Four Seasons Chicago followed.

Keegan was a member of the opening team for Wynn Las Vegas. He currently holds a position as the Corporate Pastry Chef for Las Vegas Gourmet Imports.
Food Network fans will recognize him as the former host of Food Network Challenge.
d Bar Desserts will be a pastry shop and cafe during the day, changing to a wine/dessert bar after 5 pm, with focus on a plated dessert menu. Coffee, wine and savory dishes will be available all day and evening.
Opening is currently slated for April 2012. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
