On Thursday, October 25 at 8 p.m. Tijuana-based electronica artists Nortec Collective perform a live, self-styled version of the Iron Fist soundtrack during the screening by "blending traditional Mexican music with contemporary beats." The campy drama Iron Fist is "Gabriel García Moreno’s 1927 tale of a young couple locked in a damning world of vice. Introduced to the euphoric effects of morphine by a mysterious doctor, the couple soon becomes involved in a malevolent kidnapping plot while navigating a dark underworld of drug dens and forbidden pleasures." [Mexico, 77 min]
The film will screen at The Loft at UC-San Diego (911 Lyman Ln) followed by an after party with the artists. Tickets cost $11-18.
