And apparently, Iron Man 3 will introduce the idea of the "occasional suit" - event-specific superhero attire for the discerning and sophisticated crime fighter:

I see a red, white, and blue number, no doubt for missions fought in the defense of legitimate American interests overseas; a black-and-white formal job for evening combat (love the bow tie); and a pink suit for...well, Tony doesn't like to talk about it, but he's always regarded The Forces of Intolerance as his greatest enemy.
