Coronado Lawyer Shaber Pleads Guilty to Tax Evasion

It is clear the posters hiding behind "shell" ID's know nothing of Mr. Shaber, his work or the government's case. Nor do the poster have any knowledge of the criminal "Just Us" system in this country, yet you collectively are willing to judge, sling arrows and spread falsehoods. Shame on you all! I know Craig personally and he is a great guy, very intelligent and someone you can trust. Mr. Shaber was making shells and selling them, nothing illegal there. He declared ALL income and had the same accountant/book keepers (Steven R. Wright or Wright and Geis) for 15 years. Wright had letterhead and web site that said he was a CPA, that was a lie, unknown to Mr. Shaber or Wright's clients. Wright became the government witness and his statements to the government are that Mr. Shaber, started to do his own taxes using Wright's tax software beginning in 2000. That is why Wright's corporate address and tax preparer ID is printed on the tax returns. Wright also testified that he accidently signed these return for the next SEVEN years!!!!! Even though to "accidently sign" you have to flip to the second page. The government offered Craig 18 month plea deal or they would charge his ex-wife and recharge the taxes so if he was convicted he would spend the rest of his life in prison. It truly does not take an expert in game theory to understand Mr. Shaber had no choice! That is a fact in the US criminal "Just Us" system. If you want to avail yourself of the constitutional protections the government will destroy you! If Craig's cowardly former accountant is lying about doing his taxes, what does this tell you about who is really guilty??!! Your homework is to read some of the many law review articles about abuses in the plea "bargain" process. If you believe the government, then you did not follow the lies told regarding the reasons for the Iraq war, the holding of two US citizens in prison for 5 years without any constitutional rights, Gore V Bush, the Church reports,............ the list truly is endless. America is a very hypocritical nation, with the highest number of of prisoners in the world, one percent of our population is in prison, some are very bad people and some have been wrongfully charge and persecuted by a system that is specifically designed to leave a defendant with no rights, or options, other than what a prosecutor, who only measure of success is how many people he throws into prison, offers.
