Example of businesses getting loot paid for by MAD-assessed resident property owners: Alchemy Resta
I never saw YOU sweeping up cigarette butts in front of businesses like I have. What is your trip? You are not going to turn South Park into your Ayn Rand Libertarian paradise, so stop trying.— April 15, 2013 7:53 a.m.
One of the most beautiful homes in South Park. Built in 1910 and never more impressive.
William Sterling Hebbard, architect. Irving Gill's former partner. 1910. Corner Cedar and Granada. The Bartlett-Webster house. See former owner the late Beth Montes' historic report at SD History Center archives for more details.— April 15, 2013 7:49 a.m.
Of toilets and implosions
The non-VIPs were people such as those who actually might have worked at the plant for years.— March 21, 2013 8:10 a.m.
Newsom's San Diegans of interest
Why don't you mention the fact that after he was threatened, Donaldson left his position? Asked to resign? Intolerable working conditions? Please find an answer. Ironically, he will probably return to practice architecture in town, in competition with his old firm that worked on the Jacobs project.— February 28, 2013 10:09 a.m.
San Diego city council surrenders in costly Catholic school case
I'll stick with "scofflaws", thank you. You can't be 100 students over the allowed number for years and not know it. They thought they were somehow "special".— February 17, 2013 9:43 p.m.
San Diego city council surrenders in costly Catholic school case
The City should deduct from the 500k the tuition paid by the 100 extra students that OLP was accepting in violation of its CUP. Actually, they never should have settled with these scofflaws.— February 17, 2013 8:56 p.m.
California sues Manchester's firm; reports show Navy complex push by fired city lobbyist
If Todd Gloria want to be the UT's pal, he should remember what happened to Romney and DeMaio. If he wants to be Jacobs' toady, he should remember what happened to Fletcher.— January 27, 2013 9:29 a.m.
Survey Says 24% of Voters Switch Mayoral Allegiance After Balboa Park Water Fight
Yes, clearly a fake letter from NoGoods. Anyone who thinks Filner is the anti-gay one in this election has been asleep for the past few years, and certainly didn't attend the Pride Parade, the debate at the Uptown Center, or other events like this. Obviously a post from a DeMaio staffer: there is no way a lifelong Democrat would vote for DeMaio. He, at best, would sit out that vote.— August 16, 2012 11:35 a.m.
Water Gun Fight!
Not nearly as destructive as the Irwin Jacobs plan for the Park, and 45 million cheaper. How this could not be noted by the police is a mystery. But so is the ignorance of the average person regarding the Jacobs plan.— August 13, 2012 1:11 a.m.
Density Increase Planned For North Park: Thousands of Single-Family Homes Will Vanish
A lot of the Huffman 6-pacs have a bronze plaque in the massive curb-cut/front yard. If Ray Huffman had not been so proud of his work, he would not have been stuck with these things being named after him. I don't know of any less than 50 feet in San Diego (that is the typical lot width here). Anybody?— July 27, 2012 7:38 p.m.
