Sea-level ocean view and Chef Bernard Guillas’s oceanic culinary inventiveness with fresh, exotic ingredients make every visit a voyage of discovery. Preparations are so elaborate, each menu listing reads like a whole tasting dinner. Expensive.

    1. Quite possibly the best restaurant in all of San Diego County. This is definitely a "Special Occasion" restaurant but don't wait too long for the next special occasion before treating yourself (or allowing yourself to be treated) to a dining experience you will not soon forget. The restaurant appears to be perched over the ocean and the floor to ceiling windows allow for incredibly breathtaking views of the waves which are mere yards away from you. Watching the sun sink into the water on the horizon while you are enjoying drinks and your food are something everyone needs to experience at least once. The food and service are almost always perfect, but keep in mind that you will pay for that perfection.
